當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間2月12日晚，“科研路線圖：新型冠狀病毒全球研究與創(chuàng)新論壇”在位于日內(nèi)瓦的世界衛(wèi)生組織總部閉幕。在此后舉行的記者會(huì)上，一名歐洲新聞電視臺(tái)記者向世衛(wèi)組織拋出了這樣一個(gè)問(wèn)題。

“中國(guó)政府是否要求WHO站出來(lái)為中國(guó)說(shuō)話，表?yè)P(yáng)他們干得好？世衛(wèi)組織是否迫于壓力才說(shuō)了這些話？”
 “Has the Chinese government approached the WHO to ask it to stand up and say that China is doing a good job here? Was there pressure put on this organization to say those sorts of things?”


 
面對(duì)記者挑釁般的發(fā)問(wèn)，世衛(wèi)組織總干事譚德塞(Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus) 用事實(shí)力挺中國(guó)，他表示：

“中國(guó)不用要求我們表?yè)P(yáng)。我也不認(rèn)為其他國(guó)家會(huì)要求世衛(wèi)組織表?yè)P(yáng)他們。”
 “China doesn't need to ask to be praised, and I don't expect any country to ask to be praised.”

“（中國(guó)）過(guò)去沒(méi)有要求過(guò)，現(xiàn)在也沒(méi)有要求過(guò)。這就是事實(shí)，全部的事實(shí)。”
“It was not, it is not. That’s the truth, the whole truth.”

“我和我的同事都持相同觀點(diǎn)，因?yàn)槲覀兯o出的贊賞有堅(jiān)實(shí)的事實(shí)依據(jù)。”
“And with my colleagues we speak the same language because we have seen these concrete things that should be appreciated.”

在回應(yīng)中，譚德塞舉例說(shuō)明了世衛(wèi)組織表?yè)P(yáng)中國(guó)的原因：

“中國(guó)以創(chuàng)紀(jì)錄的速度分離出病毒，并立即分享了病毒基因序列。這有助于其他國(guó)家研發(fā)病毒測(cè)試工具，也意味著中國(guó)在幫助其他國(guó)家盡早防疫，阻止疫情擴(kuò)散。”
“For instance, the pathogen was identified at a record time and immediately they share the sequence. It helped other countries to prepare the diagnostic tools to test cases. They have helped actually in preparing other countries and in preventing the problem from growing.”






譚德塞說(shuō)，并非只有他一個(gè)人在表?yè)P(yáng)中國(guó)，幾乎每位成員都對(duì)中國(guó)表示贊賞。

 “我們剛剛在這間會(huì)議廳開(kāi)會(huì)，幾乎所有的成員國(guó)都在贊賞中國(guó)的行動(dòng)，他們的贊賞是有理由的。”
We were in this boardroom for a board meeting and almost all member states were praising China for what it did and they had a reason.

“中國(guó)在疫情爆發(fā)的中心采取了大規(guī)模防疫行動(dòng)，即對(duì)武漢進(jìn)行‘封城’。這一措施有效控制了病毒向其他省區(qū)乃至其他國(guó)家的傳播。”
“China took action massively at the epicenter of the outbreak. It's a shutdown of the Wuhan city. And that helped in preventing cases from being exported to other provinces in China and the rest of the world.”





“一位英國(guó)代表說(shuō)過(guò)，這是‘英雄般的舉動(dòng)’，因?yàn)榉忾]這樣一座城市，一個(gè)省份，是要付出經(jīng)濟(jì)以及其他方面十分巨大的代價(jià)的。”
“A member from the UK said this is heroic, because when you shut down a city and province like that it has consequences, economic and so on. Serious consequences.”

“They're saying the actions of China is making us safer.”

“So what's wrong with acknowledging this?”



譚德塞表示，認(rèn)可一些國(guó)家做出的正確舉措，有兩個(gè)好處：

“第一，這有助于鼓勵(lì)他們繼續(xù)做正確的事；第二，這有助于其他國(guó)家認(rèn)識(shí)到這些正確的舉措，并借鑒學(xué)習(xí)該國(guó)經(jīng)驗(yàn)。”
“One, it helps them to continue doing the right things they are doing. Secondly, it helps other countries to recognize the good practice and they can learn from that country.”

“最重要的是，我們不能攻擊和抹黑某一個(gè)國(guó)家，而是要團(tuán)結(jié)一致，抗擊我們共同的敵人，新冠肺炎。”
“What's important is not stigmatizing a country or attacking a country, but standing in solidarity in fighting against the common enemy, COVID-19.”
