最近，美國面臨的防疫壓力日益增大。據(jù)紐約州政府官網(wǎng)，當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間3月15日，美國紐約州州長安德魯·科莫（Andrew Cuomo）舉行發(fā)布會(huì)，宣布紐約州新冠肺炎確診病例已達(dá)729例。

之后，科莫介紹了紐約州應(yīng)對(duì)新冠病毒的情況，并呼吁聯(lián)邦政府進(jìn)一步放寬新冠肺炎病毒檢測(cè)機(jī)構(gòu)限制，讓更多機(jī)構(gòu)參與到新冠肺炎檢測(cè)中；其次，要為各州制定統(tǒng)一的抗疫原則，不能各自為陣。

同時(shí)，他表示自己已經(jīng)給總統(tǒng)特朗普寫了一封公開信，希望他動(dòng)用美國軍方的工程兵部隊(duì)來將一些現(xiàn)有建筑改造成醫(yī)院，以提高醫(yī)療系統(tǒng)的承受能力。

In an open letter to President Trump, the Governor urged Trump to deploy the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to leverage its expertise, equipment and people power to retrofit and equip existing facilities to serve as temporary medical centers.

科莫提出，聯(lián)邦政府應(yīng)向中國學(xué)習(xí)，動(dòng)用國家力量抗擊疫情，并出動(dòng)軍隊(duì)修建醫(yī)療設(shè)施，避免醫(yī)療設(shè)施不足。他表示，中國、韓國等國家舉全國之力戰(zhàn)“疫”都起到了很好的效果。
