記者提出質(zhì)疑，稱孩子們從學校回家可能會將病毒傳播給家人，這是一種風險。特朗普則回應稱：“如果你看數(shù)據(jù)……非常令人驚訝，
他們（孩子們）有很強大的免疫系統(tǒng)。”

“許多人說小孩不會傳播病毒，我們正努力研究這事，他們不容易感染，也不容易把病毒帶回家，即使感染也會很快康復。”
“And a lot of people are saying they don't transmit… We're studying very hard on that particular subject. They don't catch it easily，they don't bring it home easily and if they do catch it, they get better fast.”
14日特朗普接受CBS采訪時曾聲稱，如果學校不開學，家長會因為天天在家看孩子壓力太大，遭受心理創(chuàng)傷而死（戳這里回顧）。
而特朗普的小兒子巴倫·特朗普（Baron Trump）今年14歲，也是復課大軍中的一員。

此前，白宮高級顧問凱莉安·康威（Kellyanne Conway）在17日接受記者關于特朗普夫婦是否會讓巴倫·特朗普秋季返校的提問時，并未正面回答，而是表示那是總統(tǒng)夫婦的“個人決定（that's a personal decision）”。
White House adviser Kellyanne Conway on Friday was asked if President Trump and the first lady have decided whether their son Baron Trump will go back to school in the fall as the president pushes for schools to reopen.
“我不知道巴倫所在學校是否決定是否開學。我更不知道總統(tǒng)夫婦是否打算讓他們十幾歲的兒子返校。據(jù)我所知他今年該上高中了。”
"I don't know what Baron's school has decided and I certainly don't know what the first couple has decided in respect to their teenage son who I believe is entering high school this year," Conway said.
《華盛頓郵報》援引六月的一份研究報告稱，并不能排除兒童將新冠病毒傳播給家人的可能性，兒童如何感染以及傳播病毒的證據(jù)依然不足。
