美國(guó)新冠單日新增確診病例數(shù)兩創(chuàng)紀(jì)錄后，美國(guó)白宮幕僚長(zhǎng)馬克·梅多斯（Mark Meadows）公然宣稱(chēng)，“我們不打算控制疫情”。

White House chief of staff Mark Meadows said on Sunday that the US is "not going to control" the coronavirus pandemic, as cases surge across the country and nearly 225,000 Americans have died from the virus.

據(jù)CNN報(bào)道，當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間10月25日，馬克·梅多斯接受CNN“國(guó)情咨文”（State of the Union）節(jié)目采訪，與主持人杰克·塔珀（Jack Tapper）談及疫情時(shí)， 梅多斯表示：”我們不打算控制新冠疫情，我們會(huì)去控制能否獲得疫苗、治療療法和其他緩解措施。”
"We are not going to control the pandemic. We are going to control the fact that we get vaccines, therapeutics and other mitigation areas.”
