據(jù)美國(guó)廣播公司報(bào)道，當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間26日，美國(guó)總統(tǒng)拜登簽署了一系列圍繞種族平等政策的行政措施。

當(dāng)天拜登在白宮發(fā)表講話，譴責(zé)了種族主義和仇外情緒（xenophobia）。他表示，新冠疫情期間，針對(duì)亞裔和太平洋島民的歧視和偏見急劇上升，“這是不能接受的（unacceptable），也不是美國(guó)該有的樣子（un-American）” 。

US President Joe Biden signed an executive order on Tuesday, directing federal agencies to combat xenophobia against the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, amid a rise in hate crimes and harassment over the COVID-19 pandemic.

據(jù)聯(lián)合國(guó)去年10月的一份報(bào)告顯示，美國(guó)針對(duì)亞裔美國(guó)人的仇恨犯罪已達(dá)到“令人警惕的水平（an alarming level）”。僅去年3月到5月間，就發(fā)生了1800多起針對(duì)亞裔的種族主義事件。
 


According to a United Nations report released in October, hate crimes against Asian Americans in the U.S. have reached an "alarming" level. The report cites more than 1,800 racist incidents against Asian Americans from March to May 2020.

“US President Biden signed an executive memorandum on January 26. It says the Federal Government must recognize that it has played a role in furthering these xenophobic sentiments through the actions of political leaders, including references to the COVID-19 pandemic by the geographic location of its origin. It also orders the Federal Government to condemn and combat racism, xenophobia, and intolerance against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. What is your comment?”

外交部發(fā)言人趙立堅(jiān)回應(yīng)表示：

“中方在新冠肺炎疫情問題上的立場(chǎng)是一貫的、明確的。在此我愿強(qiáng)調(diào)三點(diǎn)：
“China's position on issues related to COVID-19 is consistent and clear. I would like to stress three points here.

第一，新冠病毒是全人類的共同敵人，不分種族和國(guó)家。世界衛(wèi)生組織和國(guó)際社會(huì)都明確反對(duì)將病毒同特定的國(guó)家和地區(qū)相關(guān)聯(lián)。
“First, the novel coronavirus is the common enemy of all mankind. It respects no races or nationalities. The WHO and the international community have explicitly expressed their opposition to linking the virus with any specific country or region.”

第二，溯源必須本著非常嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)?shù)膽B(tài)度，由科學(xué)家在世界范圍內(nèi)開展調(diào)查和研究。中方也堅(jiān)決反對(duì)將病毒標(biāo)簽化、將疫情政治化的錯(cuò)誤做法。
“Second, origin-tracing is a matter that must be approached with the utmost prudence and must be studied by scientists worldwide. China also firmly opposes the wrong acts of pinning labels on the virus and politicizing the pandemic.”

第三，中方希望美國(guó)早日控制疫情蔓延勢(shì)頭，愿同包括美方在內(nèi)的國(guó)際社會(huì)一道，推動(dòng)全球抗疫合作。”
“Third, China hopes the US will succeed in containing the virus at an early date, and stands ready to work with the US and the rest of the international community to advance global anti-epidemic cooperation.”
