在4月14日的外交部例行記者會上，發(fā)言人趙立堅(jiān)播放了美國聯(lián)邦調(diào)查局（FBI）前翻譯西貝爾·埃德蒙茲（Sibel Edmonds）2015年的一段涉疆采訪視頻。

在這段早在六年前的采訪中，埃德蒙茲明目張膽地說出了美國的陰謀：“新疆會成為下一個(gè)臺灣。（Xinjiang is going to be the next Taiwan.）”

“你將會看到，類似在烏克蘭上演過的那些元素將再度出現(xiàn)。新疆會成為下一個(gè)臺灣。”
“You're going to see similar elements that we have been seeing, let's say, with Ukraine. Xinjiang is going to be the next Taiwan, OK?“
她說，之所以這么做，原因是新疆是中國能源的大動脈。
“看看地圖你就會知道新疆有多重要。新疆是中國能源的大動脈。無論能源是從哈薩克斯坦還是土庫曼斯坦進(jìn)入中國，不管是天然氣還是石油，都要經(jīng)過這里。”
“And you look at the map you see the importance of Xinjiang. That is the entry artery of energy, whether it's coming from Kazakhstan or Turkmenistan into China. Whether it’s natural gas or if it’s oil, it has to pass.”
想讓“新疆成為下一個(gè)臺灣”，美國需要就要用上自己的“拿手好戲”——打“人權(quán)”牌。
她說，“我們想要逐漸在中國內(nèi)部打‘性別牌’、‘種族牌’，說這里的少數(shù)民族沒有自己的土地，我們要幫助他們，他們遭受壓迫，說中國在屠殺他們、折磨他們。所以我們來解決這些事吧，我們在那里建立軍事基地，同時(shí)也得到了全世界人民的‘同情’。”
“We want to gradually, by playing the gender card and the race card internally, well, for that part of the world to play the minority without land, we're going to help them, they are being oppressed, Chinese gunning them down and torturing them. So, let's take out this. We put military base there and we also have the sympathy of the world.”
埃德蒙茲表示，即便美國一貫大打人權(quán)牌，但實(shí)際上“我們從來不在乎百姓，對不起，人不屬于我們的利益范圍，除非人可以被利用，轉(zhuǎn)化成資本，從而達(dá)到我們的目的”。
“We never cared about people. Sorry. That's not within the interest area, unless it can be utilized, capitalized upon to get our objective...”
采訪中，埃德蒙茲還承認(rèn)，“中國的說法比西方的說法更接近事實(shí)。(The truth is much closer to the Chinese side than it is to what the Westerns are saying.) ”
“可惜99%的人，就連《紐約時(shí)報(bào)》都是帶著傾向報(bào)道新疆的。但其實(shí)不是的，從來都不是那樣的。中國政府的說法，比《紐約時(shí)報(bào)》聽信土耳其人的那個(gè)說法要靠譜得多。”
“Unfortunately, 99% of people, even though New York Times, with its own tilt, covered it. But it's not. It's never been the case. So the Chinese government's version of the story, is much closer than when the New York Times takes the version of the Turkish side.”
之后，埃德蒙茲感嘆，盡管美國野心勃勃，但中國人“應(yīng)對的很巧妙，邏輯非常清晰。”想讓中國人上鉤，非常難。
“我一直在關(guān)注他們?nèi)绾螒?yīng)對，如何處理……他們在商業(yè)利益方面邏輯太清晰了。”
“When I keep looking at how they respond things, how they handle it...They are so logical, in terms of business interest...”
“他們處理得非常聰明，這會讓西方國家很難拋出誘餌，然后說“咬鉤吧”。他們看透了這盤棋局的本質(zhì)。他們了解棋局。他們是不會上鉤的。”
“They are handling it very smartly and it will be hard for the Western powers to try to throw the bait and say, ‘Ok, bite it.’ They know what the game's about. They know about the chessboard. And they are not about to bite.”
在油管這條采訪視頻下，不少外國網(wǎng)友留言表示震驚，“看得都起雞皮疙瘩了。”
“看得我都起雞皮疙瘩了。”
“有人是2021年來看的嗎？她說得對！整個(gè)事兒現(xiàn)在就在發(fā)生！”
“哇，2021年來的，她在六年前就說中了新疆會發(fā)生啥。”
“對于西方來說，當(dāng)全球遭遇新冠疫情，反華情緒高漲的時(shí)候搞亂新疆，簡直是完美時(shí)機(jī)。”

14日外交部記者會上，趙立堅(jiān)在播放完埃德蒙茲的這段采訪視頻后表示：
此前，我的同事在這里給大家播放了美國前國務(wù)卿鮑威爾辦公室主任威爾克森2018年8月在羅恩·保羅學(xué)院的講話視頻，他毫不遮掩地表示，“我們在阿富汗駐軍的第三個(gè)原因就是中國新疆有2000萬維吾爾族人。中情局想破壞中國的穩(wěn)定，最好的辦法就是制造中國的動蕩。如果中情局能夠利用好這些人，與他們一起不斷地刺激北京，這樣就無需外力，直接從內(nèi)部搞垮中國。
Earlier my colleague played a video clip of remarks by Lawrence Wilkerson, former chief of staff to then Secretary of State Colin Powell at the Ron Paul Institute in August 2018. He said undisguisedly that "the third reason we were there (in Afghanistan) is because there are 20 million Uyghurs (in Xinjiang). The CIA would want to destabilize China and that would be the best way to do it, to foment unrest and to join with those Uyghurs in pushing the Han Chinese in Beijing from internal places rather than external".
我不知道這是美國一些人說漏了嘴，還是他們內(nèi)心的真實(shí)獨(dú)白，但這兩則視頻就是他們對新疆步步緊逼、招招下作的呈堂證供，就是美反華勢力借涉疆“世紀(jì)謊言”實(shí)施“禍亂新疆、以疆制華”陰謀的有力證據(jù)。
I wonder whether he was accidentally spilling the beans or making a clean breast of things. But these two video clips stand as damning evidence of the aggressive and despicable conspiracy of U.S. anti-China forces to use the "lie of the century" to disrupt Xinjiang to contain China.
