外交部發(fā)言人華春瑩10日在談到涉疆問題時(shí)表示，“美國這個(gè)殺害了上百萬穆斯林、侵犯了數(shù)千萬穆斯林人權(quán)的國家，現(xiàn)在居然信誓旦旦關(guān)心起了新疆維吾爾族穆斯林的人權(quán)，分明是黃鼠狼給雞拜年——沒安好心（the weasel paying respect to the hen without the best of intentions）。”

華春瑩表示：

“美方口口聲聲關(guān)心穆斯林人權(quán)，但我們都知道，世界上殺害穆斯林最多的國家恰恰正是美國。且不論美國內(nèi)長期無法根除的系統(tǒng)性種族歧視，美國在全球約80個(gè)國家以“反恐”之名發(fā)動(dòng)戰(zhàn)爭和軍事行動(dòng)，已經(jīng)導(dǎo)致80多萬人直接死于戰(zhàn)爭暴力，其中大多數(shù)是平民，數(shù)千萬人流離失所。阿富汗、伊拉克、敘利亞等國至今仍有約2000多萬人生活在極端惡劣條件下。美國內(nèi)已有近60萬民眾死于新冠肺炎疫情，我剛看到華盛頓大學(xué)有關(guān)研究估計(jì)美實(shí)際死亡數(shù)字可能還遠(yuǎn)高于這一數(shù)字。美方漠視其在阿富汗、伊拉克、敘利亞等國行動(dòng)造成近百萬穆斯林民眾死亡，漠視本國至少60萬人死于疫情，卻不惜成本、不擇手段、反復(fù)炮制所謂新疆“人權(quán)問題”的謊言，這是非常虛偽的！”

For the United States, a country that has killed nearly a million Muslims and infringed upon the human rights of tens of millions more, to profess concern over the human rights of Uyghurs in Xinjiang is just like the weasel paying respect to the hen without the best of intentions."
