多年來，美國以“打擊恐怖主義”為名，肆意利用無人機對他國發(fā)起軍事打擊，造成了大量無辜平民死傷。據(jù)相關機構統(tǒng)計，自2010年至2020年，僅在阿富汗，美軍就發(fā)動了13072次無人機襲擊，造成大量平民死亡。

“上級命令我的工作就是殺人和破壞”

布蘭登·布賴恩特（Brandon Bryant）在2006年至2011年間曾是一名美軍無人機操作員，多次參與過針對阿富汗等國的無人機襲擊行動。退伍之后，他一直在反思和反對美軍漠視生命和嗜血殺戮。

“（上級命令我）你的工作就是殺人和破壞（kill people and break things）。” 在今日俄羅斯(RT)近日的一次采訪中，布賴恩特透露，自己的工作流程是在美軍空軍基地操控無人機，監(jiān)控、發(fā)現(xiàn)并瞄準目標，之后他的同事會操作掠奪者無人機，對準他標記好的目標發(fā)射導彈。



Brandon Bryant served in the US military between 2006 and 2011, targeting drone strikes from the Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico. His job was to point a laser at where a Hellfire missile fired by a coworker from a Predator drone should hit.

布萊恩表示，原本他的理想是當一名記者，自己當初入伍，是因為這樣他才能接受教育。“有一天軍隊的人來找我，告訴我只要我服役至少4年，他們將為我支付學費。這怎么好拒絕呢？”

Like many other recruits, Bryant joined the military because it was a way to get an education. He wanted to be a journalist. “The military showed up one day and said, we’ll pay for your education if you serve for a minimum of four years. How can anyone turn it down?”

布賴恩特透露，美軍無人機操作員都是在高中剛畢業(yè)的男生和女生中招募，“他們并沒有豐富的社會經(jīng)歷，他們基本上就是電子游戲玩家，只經(jīng)過4個月的訓練，就可以決定被襲擊者的生死。”



He was among many young adults, who were told that their new occupation was to “kill people and break things,” he said. Drone operators are “guys and gals” fresh out of high school, who are “basically video game snipers, four months of training, put into a position to make life and death decisions.”

親眼目睹阿富汗無辜平民死亡瞬間

布賴恩特此前曾回憶，他的第一次遙控攻擊就是針對幾個無辜阿富汗平民。“第一次攻擊的時候，我并不知道殺人意味著什么。非?？植溃谝淮握娴奶膳铝?。觀察員倒數(shù)到零，就大喊道，擊中。” 



 “I don’t really understand what it meant to kill at first. It was horrible. The first time was horrible. And the safety observer was counting down. He counts down to zero and he says ‘splash’.

“我當時眼睜睜地看到其中一個阿富汗人流血而死，擊中了他的一條腿，正好在膝蓋上方。我看到他鮮血直流，不斷打滾。我能想象到，那是他生命最后的時刻(I imagined his last moments.)。”
 


而在另一次行動當中，在導彈發(fā)射前3秒鐘，一個阿富汗人突然闖進了他的監(jiān)控范圍，并要進入襲擊目的地。然而，導彈還是發(fā)射了。爆炸后，觀察員告訴他，要把那個人當成“一條狗”。 布賴恩特表示，根據(jù)身形判斷，他相信那是一個孩子。

 

“那是個人，我不會去說，那是一條狗。可是我被同事告知那是一條狗。但那確實是活生生的人，進入了我們的襲擊范圍……我相信那是一個孩子。”


“It was a person. I’m not going to say that it was a dog. I was told that it was a dog, but it was a person running from off the screen around and into the building... I believe it was a child.”

本月初，前美國中情局無人機項目官員克里斯托夫·阿?。–hristopher Aaron）在一次采訪中，向阿富汗人民致歉。他表示，“真誠地向阿富汗人民道歉，不僅是我自己，還有其他美國社會各界，我知道我的道歉是遠遠不夠的。”
