有家長在采訪中說， “我覺得一天戴八個(gè)小時(shí)的口罩，太荒謬了”，還夸贊起該推拿師的熱心，稱“很多醫(yī)生都拒絕出具這樣的證明，只有這位醫(yī)生真的愿意花時(shí)間、免費(fèi)給大家簽這些證明。”



More than a hundred parents lined up outside the powder-blue Twin Palms Plaza strip mall in Sarasota County, Fla., on Sep 1, waiting for a chiropractor to sign forms freeing their children from school mask requirements. Many waited for hours.

"I think it's great because many doctors are refusing to sign it, and this is one doctor that is actually volunteering his time with no pay to sign all of these forms," one parent told CNN affiliate WFLA. "I think it's ridiculous to have to wear a mask for eight hours a day."

Meanwhile, another parent whose daughter is in kindergarten in Sarasota County, believes Busch's behavior puts many people at risk, she told CNN.

“This is not a political thing,” Dan Busch, a chiropractor at Twin Palms Chiropractic, told WFLA. “I am not an anti-mask person or an anti-vax person, but I am a pro-freedom, pro-choice person.”

Asked a day later by CNN about the exemption forms and whether he had examined every child for whom he signed one, Busch said, "This wasn't about me. This is about parents' freedom."

Busch reportedly signed more than 500 exemption forms before the school district’s superintendent updated the requirements, telling parents recently that an acceptable exemption could be approved only by a licensed medical doctor, osteopathic physician or nurse practitioner. Chiropractors are not medical doctors.
