近日,一段外國老人在重慶救落水女孩的視頻在網(wǎng)上流傳。在網(wǎng)友們的稱贊聲中，救人老人的身份也傳開了。原來，他是英國駐重慶總領(lǐng)事館總領(lǐng)事史云森（Stephen Ellison）。

11月17日的外交部例行記者會(huì)上，有記者對(duì)英國駐重慶總領(lǐng)事館總領(lǐng)事史云森14日救落水女大學(xué)生一事提問，外交部發(fā)言人趙立堅(jiān)回應(yīng)稱：我也看到了有關(guān)的報(bào)道。他見義勇為的舉動(dòng)值得贊揚(yáng)，我要為他點(diǎn)個(gè)“大大的贊”。（We have seen relevant reports. Such a brave act is commendable and I'd like to give him a big thumbs-up.）

史云森是英國駐重慶總領(lǐng)事館設(shè)立以來的第七任總領(lǐng)事，于11月16日正式上任。11月14日，史云森在重慶市江津區(qū)中山古鎮(zhèn)游玩時(shí)，遇見一名女孩溺水，他立即跳入水中，與岸上人員合力將落水女孩救起。

據(jù)英國駐重慶總領(lǐng)事館在官方微博上分享的視頻顯示，在重慶著名景區(qū)中山古鎮(zhèn)，當(dāng)時(shí)一名女孩在河邊石頭上拍照不慎滑倒，落入水中。有目擊者向當(dāng)?shù)孛襟w反映，幾名男子立即趕到河邊，想要將落水女孩從河里拉出來，然而女孩不會(huì)游泳，在水中驚慌掙扎，人被急流沖到橋下，面部朝下。

Video footage shared by the consulate shows that a young woman had slipped while taking a photo on a rock beside the river in Zhongshan Old Town, a famous scenic spot in Chongqing. Witnesses told local media that several men immediately rushed to the bank and tried to pull her out of the water, but the woman, apparently unable to swim, struggled in panic and was carried away under the foot bridge by the fast moving current. She soon emerged face down in the water.

周一，英國駐重慶總領(lǐng)事館確認(rèn)視頻中的這名外國人就是61歲的史云森，他于10月來到重慶，本周一剛剛上任。

Britain's mission in Chongqing confirmed on Monday that the foreign man in the video was Ellison, a 61-year-old diplomat who arrived in the city in October. He just started his official term on Monday.

此次赴渝任職之前，史云森在中國已有9年的工作、生活經(jīng)歷。2014年到2018年，曾在英國駐華大使館的英國國際貿(mào)易部工作，擔(dān)任公使銜參贊。而今年61歲的他還是一位運(yùn)動(dòng)達(dá)人，去年獲得了北京國際鐵人三項(xiàng)賽對(duì)應(yīng)年齡組別的冠軍。

Ellison has lived in China for a total of about nine years, which included a stint as minister counselor and director of the Department for International Trade at the British embassy in Beijing from 2014 to 2018.

He also competed in the Beijing International Triathlon last year and won the event in his age group.
