“中國(guó)龍城”又上新了！


近日，山東省諸城市恐龍文化研究中心工作人員在春季野外化石勘察過程中，在諸城市的主要化石遺跡區(qū)新發(fā)現(xiàn)一處較為完整的水波紋遺跡化石和一些大型恐龍足跡化石。

據(jù)介紹，該化石遺跡區(qū)地質(zhì)地貌發(fā)育及保存比較完整，經(jīng)過對(duì)周圍巖層沉積和遺跡化石點(diǎn)周圍地層巖層特征對(duì)比分析，初步斷定為早白堊世地質(zhì)地層。

諸城市恐龍文化研究中心科研科普科科長(zhǎng)陳樹清說，初步確認(rèn)，這次新發(fā)現(xiàn)的恐龍足跡化石點(diǎn)既有蜥腳類恐龍足跡化石，也有獸腳類恐龍足跡化石。前期在距離此處十公里外的化石點(diǎn)，也發(fā)現(xiàn)了這兩類恐龍足跡化石，證明中生代時(shí)期曾有大量蜥腳類恐龍和獸腳類恐龍?jiān)谶@里生活。

據(jù)陳樹清介紹，此次新發(fā)現(xiàn)的水波紋遺跡化石點(diǎn)，在當(dāng)時(shí)是一個(gè)濱淺湖，這證明中生代時(shí)期諸城地區(qū)植被茂密，非常適合恐龍生存。當(dāng)時(shí)氣候干旱，湖水非常淺，風(fēng)吹過后，便在湖邊留下了水波紋印痕。

Large dinosaur footprints have recently been discovered in Zhucheng, East China's Shandong Province, a Chinese city that is rich with abundant dinosaur fossils. 

Found during researchers' field studies in this new spring season to the local major fossil remains, the trace fossils were identified as belonging to sauropods - large four-legged herbivore dinosaurs - and theropods, bipedal carnivorous dinosaurs. Along with similar trace fossils that have been discovered in the area, the discovery shows that the region used be home to many sauropod and theropod dinosaurs. 

Along with the footprints, a relatively complete water-ripple-looking fossil has also been found. According to researchers, it reveals that the place was once a shallow lake. 

據(jù)了解，諸城處于膠萊盆地南部的斷陷盆地，形成于中生代白堊紀(jì)，構(gòu)造變形復(fù)雜，地質(zhì)地層發(fā)育齊全，盆地凹陷長(zhǎng)期連續(xù)沉積，為形成恐龍化石創(chuàng)造了條件。自20世紀(jì)60年代以來，諸城先后發(fā)現(xiàn)了庫溝、掘村、玉皇、臧家莊、侯家屯等30多個(gè)恐龍化石埋藏點(diǎn)，埋藏區(qū)域近千平方公里。諸城因恐龍化石資源蘊(yùn)藏豐富，有“中國(guó)龍城”之稱。

The city of Zhucheng has long been dubbed the "dragon city" due to its valuable dinosaur resources. Since the 1960s, more than 30 dinosaur fossil sites, covering an area of nearly 1,000 square kilometers in total, have been found in the city. 

諸城此前共發(fā)現(xiàn)恐龍化石25000多塊，還曾挖出身長(zhǎng)16.6米，高9米的世界最大鴨嘴龍骨架。
