世界衛(wèi)生組織（WHO）總干事譚德塞4月8日在例行發(fā)布會上用了近3分鐘的時間回應(yīng)臺灣地區(qū)的人身攻擊。
他表示，“針對我的個人攻擊早在2到3個月前就開始了，他們用‘黑鬼’等種族歧視言論攻擊我，甚至還有死亡威脅。”他提到這些人身攻擊來自臺灣地區(qū)。他表示，如果是針對個人他不介意，但整個族群被侮辱時他再也不能忍受。
World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus revealed that he has received many personal attacks, including death threats, in the past three months. One persistent racist attack against him came from Taiwan. He said he "does not care" about the personal attacks, but said that when the whole African community is insulted, he won't tolerate it.
譚德塞還提及，臺灣民進黨當(dāng)局外事部門明明知道這些事，但民進黨當(dāng)局沒有制止，甚至轉(zhuǎn)而開始對他攻擊。
譚德塞說：” 譚德塞個人只是整個宇宙中的一粒塵埃，不在乎無端的攻擊。理智的人都不會在乎個人的攻擊，而忽視更大的人類挑戰(zhàn)。我們關(guān)注拯救生命，世衛(wèi)組織沒有政治操作。”
"Tedros is a dot in the whole universe. Issues targeted at me personally I don’t mind. Why would anyone in the right conscience think about his personal attack, ignoring the bigger challenge we’re facing as humanity? My focus is saving lives. We don’t do politics in WHO. We don’t."
央視熱評中指出：由于世衛(wèi)組織按國際公認(rèn)的“一個中國”原則處理問題，臺灣外事部門負(fù)責(zé)人吳釗燮先是在社交媒體上用“毛病”一詞辱罵，后又頻頻抱怨世衛(wèi)官員“對我們不理不睬”“老做對不起我們的事情”；蔡英文的副手陳建仁甚至點名批評譚德塞“成事不足敗事有余”，還說“譚德塞應(yīng)該下臺，世衛(wèi)組織應(yīng)該重新改造”。
外交部回應(yīng)：中方強烈譴責(zé)
4月9日，外交部發(fā)言人趙立堅主持例行記者會，有記者提問：“世衛(wèi)組織總干事表示，臺灣方面一直對其進行種族主義攻擊，對此他予以強烈譴責(zé)。中方是否贊同總干事的說法？”
趙立堅表示：“中方反對任何借疫情搞政治化、污名化的行為，強烈譴責(zé)針對譚德塞總干事的人身攻擊和種族主義言行。”
“China opposes any attempt to use the epidemic for purpose of politicization or stigmatization, and strongly condemns the personal attacks and racist words and deeds against WHO DG Tedros.”
“世界衛(wèi)生組織在譚德塞總干事帶領(lǐng)下，積極履行自身職責(zé)，秉持客觀科學(xué)公正立場，為協(xié)助各國應(yīng)對疫情、推動國際抗疫合作發(fā)揮了重要作用，得到國際社會普遍認(rèn)可和高度贊譽。中方支持世界衛(wèi)生組織在全球抗疫合作中繼續(xù)發(fā)揮領(lǐng)導(dǎo)作用。”
“Under the leadership of DG Tedros, the WHO has played an important role in assisting countries' responses to the epidemic and promoting international anti-epidemic cooperation by actively fulfilling its responsibilities and upholding an objective, science-based and unbiased stance, which has been widely recognized and highly praised by the international community. “新冠肺炎疫情發(fā)生以來，臺灣民進黨當(dāng)局上竄下跳，肆意進行政治操弄，持續(xù)炒作臺所謂參加世界衛(wèi)生組織和世衛(wèi)大會問題，其真實目的是‘以疫謀獨’。我們對此堅決反對，他們的圖謀絕不會得逞。”
“Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the DPP authorities in Taiwan have been doing all they can to make reckless political maneuvers and hype up Taiwan's participation in the WHO and the World Health Assembly. Their real intention is to seek independence under the pretext of the pandemic. We are firmly opposed to that. Their scheme will never succeed.”
據(jù)新華社報道，國臺辦發(fā)言人朱鳳蓮9日應(yīng)詢表示，關(guān)于世衛(wèi)組織涉臺問題，我們已經(jīng)多次表明立場。民進黨當(dāng)局“以疫謀獨”不擇手段，惡毒攻擊世衛(wèi)組織及其負(fù)責(zé)人，縱容綠營網(wǎng)軍肆意散布種族歧視言論，我們對此表示強烈譴責(zé)。
A Chinese mainland spokesperson Thursday strongly condemned the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authority in Taiwan for its "malicious" verbal attacks on the World Health Organization (WHO) and its director-general. Zhu Fenglian, a spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, also slammed the DPP for conniving in the wanton spread of racist remarks by the internet mob from its camp. Zhu said the DPP took whatever means to "bank on the epidemic to seek independence."
朱鳳蓮表示，
奉勸民進黨當(dāng)局立即停止政治操弄，借疫情破壞一個中國原則和謀求加入世衛(wèi)組織的圖謀是不會得逞的。
The spokesperson urged the DPP to immediately stop political manipulation. "The DPP's attempt to take the opportunity of the epidemic to undermine the one-China principle and seek entry into the WHO is doomed to fail," she added.
