面對嚴峻的疫情形勢，美國紐約州州長安德魯·科莫終于宣布了該州針對口罩的最新措施。
據(jù)CNN報道，科莫于當?shù)貢r間15日表示，他將簽署行政命令，要求紐約州人民在公共場所不能保持社交距離時，須佩戴口罩或遮擋口鼻。
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo will sign an executive order that requires everyone in the state to wear a mask or a mouth/nose covering in public when not social distancing, he said Wednesday.
他舉例子稱，比如在搭乘公共交通時就很難保持社交距離，又或者是在繁忙的街道上行走時，“都需要遮擋面部或戴口罩。”
“For example, if a person is riding on public transit where it is impossible to maintain social distancing, or walking on a busy sidewalk, "you must wear a face covering or a mask," he said.

據(jù)新聞網(wǎng)站CNBC報道，科莫的這項舉措將適用于包括地鐵和公交巴士等公共交通，以及商店等公共場所。
It would apply to people on public transit, including subways and buses, as well as in public spaces like grocery stores, he said.
“去公園遛彎，想出門散步都可以。但是不要傳染我，你沒有權(quán)力傳染我。”
"You're right to go out for a walk in the park, go out for a walk because you need to get out of the house. Don't infect me. You don't have a right to infect me," he said.
他希望紐約人民可以遵守命令，因為其“很合理”。
He said he hopes New Yorkers follow the rule "because it makes sense."
而在執(zhí)行這一命令前，紐約人民有3天準備時間，確?？谡只蚱渌采w物到位?？颇f，他還考慮對違反這一規(guī)定的人給予民事處罰。
There will be a three-day notice period before the order is enforced, allowing New Yorkers to secure masks or coverings. He said he is considering a civil penalty for those who break the rule.

科莫表示，紐約州的住院治療人數(shù)，包括收入重癥監(jiān)護室的人數(shù)以及插管治療人數(shù)都在下降。
Hospitalizations as well as admissions to the intensive care unit and intubations across New York are down, he said.
“你可以看到增長曲線變得平緩。雖然我們并沒有完全脫離危險，但是我們可以控制疫情傳播”，科莫說。當下，疫情仍然是紐約州非常嚴重的公共衛(wèi)生問題，但是“情況已經(jīng)穩(wěn)定”。
"You see the flattening of the curve," Cuomo said. "We're not out of the woods ... but we can control the spread." The pandemic is still a serious public health issue, but the "health situation has stabilized," Cuomo said.
CNN在報道中指出，對于科莫以及美國其他州州長來說，現(xiàn)在的問題是如何在重啟經(jīng)濟的同時，避免疫情的再次暴發(fā)，尤其是在沒有疫苗也沒有特效治療方案的情況下。
The question for Cuomo, and for governors across the country, is how to go about reopening the economy without setting off another outbreak for a virus with no vaccine and no proven therapeutic treatment.

All states are having a hard time bringing coronavirus testing to scale quickly, Cuomo said Wednesday. "Every governor is now in the same situation," he said. The states need assistance from the federal government to bring testing to scale, he said, adding "the more testing, the more opening of the economy."

“While we must remain vigilant, it is clear that our aggressive strategy is working,” Trump said at a White House news briefing with coronavirus task force on Wednesday. “The battle continues, but the data suggests that nationwide we have passed the peak on new cases.”
