Really, it’s a badge of honor,” Trump said. “It’s a great tribute to the testing and all of the work that a lot of professionals have done.”

特朗普威脅退出世衛(wèi)組織

美國確診病例數(shù)成為全球最高，疫情形勢尚未得到扭轉(zhuǎn)，此時的特朗普卻還在“甩鍋”。

美國總統(tǒng)特朗普于美國時間18日晚表示，若世界衛(wèi)生組織不致力于在未來30天內(nèi)作出“實質(zhì)性改進”，美方將終止向其繳納會費并重新考慮是否留在世衛(wèi)組織內(nèi)。

U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday threatened to permanently cut off the nation's funding to the World Health Organization (WHO) if the body does not commit to what he called "substantive improvements within the next 30 days."

特朗普在當天寫給世衛(wèi)組織總干事譚德塞的信中發(fā)出上述威脅，并在他的推特賬號上公布了這封信。

In a letter to WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, a copy of which was published by Trump on Twitter, the president added that he could reconsider the U.S. membership in the organization.

The President also accused the WHO of ignoring "credible reports of the virus spreading in Wuhan in early December 2019 or even earlier, including reports from the Lancet medical journal."

The Lancet, however, said Tuesday it "published no report in December, 2019, referring to a virus or outbreak in Wuhan or anywhere else in China. The first reports the journal published were on January 24, 2020."
