據(jù)新華社報(bào)道，巴西衛(wèi)生部24日?qǐng)?bào)告新增確診病例15813例，累計(jì)確診363211例；新增死亡病例653例，累計(jì)死亡22666例。巴西確診病例超過36萬例，居全球第二，僅次于美國(guó)。

疫情嚴(yán)重的巴西進(jìn)入“黑暗”的一周，單日新增病例過萬，同時(shí)圍繞總統(tǒng)博索納羅的爭(zhēng)議也持續(xù)不斷。

Brazil appears to be entering another dark week, as coronavirus cases grow by the thousands and controversy swells around President Jair Bolsonaro.

據(jù)CNN報(bào)道，上周末，巴西迎來灰暗的時(shí)刻：巴西超過俄羅斯，成為繼美國(guó)之后新冠肺炎確診人數(shù)最多的國(guó)家。

The increase follows a grim milestone over the weekend: Last Saturday, Brazil overtook Russia to become the country with the most confirmed cases of Covid-19 after the United States.
 


而當(dāng)天晚間，博索納羅卻在自己安保人員的陪同下離開總統(tǒng)府邸，即興來到了熱狗攤前。

That was the night that Bolsonaro and his security team left Brasilia's presidential palace and made an impromptu stop at a hot dog stand. 

有媒體拍攝到博索納羅吃著熱狗，周圍的人群高喊著“殺手”、“垃圾”，同時(shí)在自家窗邊敲打鍋碗瓢盆抗議。而博索納羅則轉(zhuǎn)過身對(duì)著人群擺了擺手指。

While media captured the president eating his snack, people could be heard yelling "killer" and "trash" and banging pots and pans from their windows. The President at one point turned and wagged his finger at the crowd.





CNN報(bào)道指出，巴西的確診人數(shù)和死亡人數(shù)飆升，但是博索納羅卻將新冠稱為“小流感”，并且經(jīng)常輕視疫情風(fēng)險(xiǎn)。過去數(shù)周，兩任衛(wèi)生部長(zhǎng)相繼離職——一人被解雇，一人辭職——此前他們沒有就如何處理疫情與總統(tǒng)達(dá)成一致。

While the country's number of confirmed cases and death rate soar, Bolsonaro has referred to the virus as a "little flu" and frequently downplayed its risks. Two health ministers have left his cabinet in the past few weeks — one was fired and the other resigned — after disagreements over how to handle the pandemic.

而博索納羅則反復(fù)表達(dá)了對(duì)于疫情影響經(jīng)濟(jì)的擔(dān)憂，并且警告這樣的影響比病毒本身還嚴(yán)重。巴西受疫情影響最嚴(yán)重的地方官員采取了包括封鎖和隔離等舉措，但是博納索羅曾公開反對(duì)這些防疫措施。

Bolsonaro has repeatedly expressed concern about the financial impact of the virus, warning it will be worse than the virus itself. He has been outspoken against preventive measures, like lockdowns and quarantines, imposed by governors and mayors of some of the most impacted places in Brazil.

據(jù)央視新聞報(bào)道，美國(guó)白宮25日宣布，為防止疫情輸入，從美東時(shí)間26日23時(shí)59分開始，除美國(guó)公民或永久居民等情況外，過去14天在巴西停留過的人禁止入境。這一修訂比此前宣布禁令執(zhí)行的時(shí)間提前了兩天。

The White House has issued a proclamation suspending entry into the US for any individual who has been in Brazil within 14 days immediately preceding their arrival. The new travel suspension begins May 26 at 11:59 p.m. ET.



上周五，世界衛(wèi)生組織衛(wèi)生緊急項(xiàng)目負(fù)責(zé)人瑞安在一場(chǎng)發(fā)布會(huì)上表示，南美成為疫情“新震中”。

Last Friday, Mike Ryan, the emergencies director of the World Health Organization (WHO) called South America "a new epicenter" of the coronavirus.

“從某種意義上說，南美已經(jīng)成為該疾病的新震中。我們已經(jīng)看到很多南美國(guó)家的病例數(shù)不斷增加。其中很多國(guó)家的確都對(duì)此感到擔(dān)憂，但是目前受影響最大的是巴西。”

"In a sense, South America has become a new epicenter for the disease. We have seen many South American countries with increasing numbers of cases," Ryan said at a virtual news conference. "Clearly there is a concern across many of those countries, but clearly the most affected is Brazil at this point," he said.
