這幾天，包括路透社等外國媒體都做了一款類似的辟謠文章，只不過單看標題的話會讓人覺得一頭霧水↓↓↓
核實：醫(yī)用口罩里的金屬條，不是5G天線
這可不是開玩笑，據(jù)路透社報道，確實有一則“口罩金屬條是5G天線的”謠言視頻，在美國社交媒體上大肆傳播！
Social media users have been sharing a video in which a man claims that a metal strip in medical masks is a 5G antenna. This claim is untrue.
視頻中宣稱“口罩上方的金屬條是5G天線，可以通過無線電波追蹤并控制人群，最終會影響人的大腦，讓人得癌癥。”
“Disposable face masks contain a 5G antenna used by the government to track and control people with radio waves that will eventually infect your brain with cancer.”

視頻中的旁白說道：“沒錯，確實是這樣。他們告訴大家要戴口罩，而殺人5G天線就藏在里面……我們從這里把它拿出來”，說這話的同時，旁白者把口罩上方的金屬條抽了出來。
A voice narrates: “Yes, indeed. The antenna killer 5G antenna killer that’s inside the masks that they are telling everybody to wear……So, we took this here out which is a 5G antenna that’s inside the mask, right.” The narrator then shows the metal strip that is inside the top part of a medical mask, used to mold the mask around the user’s nose.
旁白繼續(xù)道：“他們告訴你戴上口罩，你的鼻孔透過口罩猛吸金屬條，然后會直達大腦進行破壞。如同一戰(zhàn)二戰(zhàn)時那樣殺人，通過天線，通過5G。不過當時沒有5G，5G是現(xiàn)在才有的。但是這也只是他們大規(guī)模殺人的諸多方式之一……”隨后，旁白者建議觀眾自己制作口罩。
He continues: “They tell you to put it on so that you can breathe right above your nostrils so you can inhale and it can go straight to your brain and begin to destroy. Like they say they kill people in the First World War, the Second World War, through antennas, through the 5G. Not 5G, 5G is new now. But, this was one of the ways, one of the mechanisms in which they used to kill a whole lot of people ……” The man then advises watchers to make their own masks instead.
類似這樣的視頻在網(wǎng)絡上不斷出現(xiàn)，也陸續(xù)有一些外國網(wǎng)友表示深信不疑。
不過，也有自稱是核物理專家的網(wǎng)友給予反擊：“這完全是假的，沒有任何科學證據(jù)。5G也不是部署在醫(yī)用口罩里的，更不會致癌。當人們發(fā)出令人震驚的消息時，一定要讓他們給出消息來源。但是他們90%都給不出！”
另有網(wǎng)友費解，這樣程度的謠言居然也有人信：

如何科學反擊這一謠言呢？外媒在做辟謠的同時，也沒忘記科普：口罩金屬條到底是干什么用的？
CBS新聞網(wǎng)17臺的報道指出：有專利檔案顯示，目前此類口罩的設計可以追溯到上世紀70年代，比1G手機、3G手機或類似無線下載系統(tǒng)的問世要早很多年。
A patent shows the design of those kinds of masks goes back to the 1970s — long before smart phones with 1G, 3G or any other kind of wireless downloading system ever existed.
CBS還指出，這回的“5G天線”謠言是此前4月份就出現(xiàn)的謠言的變種：當時的謠言宣稱5G制造了新冠病毒，并且通過電子方式傳播。實際上，新冠肺炎由病毒引發(fā)，然而電波并不會制造生物病毒。
The myth of the mask antenna is a twist on a story CBS 17 debunked in April, when claims were made that 5G was creating the COVID-19 virus and spreading it electronically. COVID-19 is caused by a virus and electronic waves don’t create biological viruses.
路透社報道指出，口罩上的金屬條有很多作用。據(jù)防護品制造商3M的一位發(fā)言人表示，金屬條用于更加貼合佩戴者的鼻子形狀。而世衛(wèi)組織專家April Baller則在一段視頻中解釋稱，金屬條表明這部分是口罩的上半部分。
The metal strip in medical masks serves quite a different purpose. A spokesperson for 3M, which makes protective equipment, told Reuters via email that the metal strip in their surgical masks allows them to “be shaped to form against the wearer’s nose to help provide a better fit.” In a video explaining how to wear a mask correctly, Dr April Baller of the World Health Organization (WHO) says: “Verify which side is the top: this is usually where the metal strip is”.
唯一要記住的就是，口罩會保護大家，免受新冠疫情的傳染。
The only thing those masks are good for is helping to protect people from the spread of COVID-19.
