日本執(zhí)政的自民黨14日舉行總裁選舉投票，內(nèi)閣官房長(zhǎng)官菅義偉以高票當(dāng)選。他將在16日召集的臨時(shí)國(guó)會(huì)上被推舉為日本新首相，接替此前因健康原因宣布辭職的首相安倍晉三。

Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga was elected on Monday as the new president of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) to take over from outgoing Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. He is expected to be named as the new prime minister at an extraordinary Diet session to be convened on Wednesday.

At a joint plenary meeting of party members from both houses of the Diet and delegates from local chapters, Suga, 71, won 377 votes and was the front-runner from the beginning of the election race. The other two contenders, Fumio Kishida, 63, a former foreign minister, secured 89 votes, while Shigeru Ishiba, 63, a former defense minister and a rare critic of Abe within the LDP, received 68 votes.

菅義偉在當(dāng)選后說(shuō)：“安倍首相因病中途退任。但目前新冠疫情猶在，好比國(guó)難當(dāng)頭，不能出現(xiàn)政治空白。為了克服危機(jī)，讓國(guó)民過(guò)上安心、安定的生活，我將繼承安倍首相的政策，繼續(xù)前進(jìn)。這是我的使命。”
