On October 19, 1950, the first batch of Chinese People's Volunteer Army troops valiantly crossed the Yalu River, marching toward the Korean battlefield to resist U.S. aggression. In order to defend their country, hundreds of thousands of young soldiers died on the battlefield, laid to rest in a foreign land. We will never forget the war and the sacrifice of the martyrs.
英雄的中國人民志愿軍將士，肩負民族的期望，高舉保衛(wèi)和平、反抗侵略的正義旗幟，雄赳赳，氣昂昂，跨過鴨綠江，同朝鮮人民和軍隊一道，歷經兩年零九個月舍生忘死的浴血奮戰(zhàn)，贏得了抗美援朝戰(zhàn)爭（the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea）的偉大勝利。

1950年至1953年，中國人民志愿軍開赴朝鮮戰(zhàn)場同朝鮮軍民并肩作戰(zhàn)抗擊侵略者。共有290萬名志愿軍戰(zhàn)士參與抗美援朝出國作戰(zhàn)，有197653名志愿軍戰(zhàn)士在戰(zhàn)爭中犧牲。
The Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) fought alongside the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) army in the Korean War against the South Korean army and the United States-led UN forces between 1950 and 1953. A total of 2.9 million CPV soldiers entered the battlefield, and 197,653 of them sacrificed their lives in the war.
2014年以來，累計有716位在韓志愿軍烈士遺骸回到祖國。2019年，退役軍人事務部發(fā)動社會力量幫助烈士尋親，通過DNA比對技術，已經幫助其中6位烈士找到了親人。
今年9月27日，117位在韓中國人民志愿軍烈士遺骸回國。這是中韓兩國簽署交接協(xié)議后第七批回國的烈士遺骸。
The remains of 117 Chinese People's Volunteers soldiers killed in the 1950-53 Korean War returned to China from the Republic of Korea (ROK). This is the seventh annual repatriation, following a handover agreement signed between China and the ROK.

為紀念中國人民志愿軍抗美援朝出國作戰(zhàn)70周年，經中央軍委批準，中央軍委政治工作部組織拍攝了6集大型電視紀錄片《為了和平》。該片從10月18日起在中央電視臺綜合頻道晚8點檔黃金時段播出，每天2集。
A six-episode documentary "For Peace" is scheduled for prime-time release on Sunday evening on China's major TV broadcaster CCTV. Two episodes will be aired every day on CCTV.
該片共6集，分別為《正義擔當》、《殊死較量》、《血性迸發(fā)》、《英雄贊歌》、《萬眾一心》、《偉大勝利》，每集約50分鐘，采取史論結合、故事表達的方式，回顧呈現(xiàn)中國共產黨領導抗美援朝戰(zhàn)爭的光輝歷程和寶貴經驗，全面反映抗美援朝戰(zhàn)爭的正義性質和偉大勝利，深入反映偉大的抗美援朝精神的豐富內涵和時代價值，集中展示中國人民志愿軍的英雄事跡和革命精神，生動展現(xiàn)全國各族人民同仇敵愾、眾志成城的大力支援和家國情懷，充分彰顯中華民族不畏強暴、維護和平的堅定決心和巨大貢獻。
The documentary, with each episode lasting around 50 minutes, is dedicated to commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) army entering the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to help in the war to resist US aggression. The documentary fully reflects the nature of justice and great victory of the war, and recounts CPV soldiers' heroic deeds and revolutionary spirit during the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea (1950-1953).
