微信每一次更新表情，都會(huì)引發(fā)大家的熱議。這一次，又一個(gè)經(jīng)典表情發(fā)生了變化：大兵戒煙了！

An iconic emoji on China’s most widely used social network has given up smoking.

上周日，騰訊公司微博上傳了微信表情更新前后的對(duì)比圖，其中佩戴綠色頭盔的“士兵臉”表情，一眼就能看出差別：標(biāo)志性的煙卷，不見蹤影。

In a post Sunday on microblogging platform Weibo, social app WeChat’s parent company Tencent included before-and-after screenshots from the app’s emoji library, circling the “soldier face” emoji decked out in its army-green helmet. It’s not hard to spot the difference: In the current version, the helmeted head is missing its trademark cigar.



這條微博配文則只有短短幾個(gè)字：最近……戒煙了［悠閑］。不過(guò)對(duì)于為什么做出這番修改，微信方面卻沒(méi)有提及原因。

A single line of text included with the post reads, “Recently… quit smoking.” WeChat has been reticent to say more about what prompted the change.

據(jù)《北京日?qǐng)?bào)》的文章介紹， 2017年起，北京市控?zé)焻f(xié)會(huì)首先開始關(guān)注社交媒體平臺(tái)上的吸煙表情包。當(dāng)時(shí)，志愿者向北京市控?zé)焻f(xié)會(huì)反映，新浪、QQ、微信等主流軟件的表情包里有吸煙的表情。問(wèn)題提出后，北京市控?zé)焻f(xié)會(huì)立刻同北京市網(wǎng)信辦溝通，并推動(dòng)各個(gè)平臺(tái)下架吸煙的表情包。

According to an article last Sunday by Beijing Daily, anti-smoking campaigners in Beijing first reported “smoking emojis” on social platforms like WeChat, Weibo, and QQ to the city’s tobacco control association in 2017. The association, in turn, lobbied the city’s cyberspace authorities to resolve the matter.

報(bào)道顯示，2017年9月，新浪微博首先撤除吸煙表情；同年11月，騰訊QQ客戶端取消吸煙表情；不過(guò)微信方面一直沒(méi)有做出回應(yīng)。北京市控?zé)焻f(xié)會(huì)會(huì)長(zhǎng)張建樞稱，曾經(jīng)私下聯(lián)系過(guò)騰訊CEO馬化騰，希望可以提升對(duì)吸煙表情包影響的意識(shí)。

Both QQ and Weibo removed their tobacco-using emojis in late 2017, but WeChat’s smoking soldier persisted, seemingly undeterred. Zhang Jianshu, president of the Beijing Tobacco Control Association, told Beijing Daily his organization even personally contacted Tencent’s CEO, Ma Huateng — also known as Pony Ma — to raise awareness about the message the symbol was sending.

張建樞表示，騰訊的決定雖然有點(diǎn)遲，但是其作為“國(guó)民軟件”，帶頭禁煙起到了很好的表率作用，“企業(yè)尤其是知名企業(yè)應(yīng)該體現(xiàn)責(zé)任與擔(dān)當(dāng)，為無(wú)煙中國(guó)做出貢獻(xiàn)。”

“Tencent’s decision has come a little late, but given that it’s such a ubiquitous social platform, it’s good that it has taken the lead as a no-smoking role model,” Zhang was quoted as saying. “Enterprises, and especially well-known ones, should shoulder the responsibility and do their part to create a smoke-free China.”

2021年1月28日，微信IOS版本更新至8.0版，全新表情包上線，表示“悠閑”含義的大兵吸煙形象終于被換掉。2月28日，微信安卓版本也上線“戒煙”版表情包。

張建樞稱，相信大部分年輕人都會(huì)有這樣一個(gè)共識(shí)：這個(gè)不抽煙的大兵，更酷！

Zhang added that he hoped young people would agree that the non-smoking soldier is “much cooler” than his predecessor.
