當(dāng)?shù)貢r間25日，美國總統(tǒng)拜登在白宮舉行就任總統(tǒng)65天來的首場記者會，回應(yīng)了一系列問題。
Convening his first formal news conference Thursday, U.S President Joe Biden stepped into a swirl of issues that have bubbled up at the two-month mark of his presidency.
因為疫情防控限制，發(fā)布會現(xiàn)場只有40名記者，全部佩戴口罩并且間隔就座。拜登佩戴口罩入場，然后摘掉口罩回答記者提問。
Only 40 reporters were permitted in the East Room for the news conference because of COVID-19 restrictions; all wore face masks and were seated apart. Biden entered the room wearing a mask and took it off to answer questions.
2億劑疫苗接種目標(biāo)
在提問前的開場白中，拜登率先提出美國新冠疫苗接種目標(biāo)：將原來上任100天內(nèi)達(dá)成1億劑接種的任務(wù)“翻倍”，即100天內(nèi)完成2億劑接種。據(jù)CNBC網(wǎng)報道，拜登此前在12月8日設(shè)定了1億劑的目標(biāo)，并在其上任59天的時候完成。

Biden on Thursday announced a new goal of having 200 million Covid vaccination shots being distributed within his first 100 days in office. 100 million coronavirus vaccinations had been given since Biden was inaugurated. That benchmark — which Biden set as his original target Dec. 8 — was reached on his 59th day in office.
對此，拜登說“相信可以做到”。
“I believe we can do it,” Biden said.
不過，相比于在開場白時設(shè)定疫苗接種目標(biāo)，美國媒體卻發(fā)現(xiàn)在接下來的提問環(huán)節(jié)中，沒有記者再提出有關(guān)疫情的問題。
《商業(yè)內(nèi)幕》網(wǎng)站在報道中寫道，這是拜登1月份就任以來的首場單獨發(fā)布會，但是卻沒有一名記者提到新冠疫情的問題——考慮到美國每天仍然有數(shù)以萬計的新增確診病例，這些問題的缺席值得注意。
During President Joe Biden's first solo press conference since taking office in January, not a single reporter asked a question about the coronavirus pandemic — a notable omission as the country continues to see tens of thousands of new cases each day.
計劃2024年競選連任
盡管剛于今年1月份就任美國總統(tǒng)，但是拜登在發(fā)布會上表達(dá)了對于2024年競選連任的期待。
“我的計劃是競選連任，這是我的期望，”78歲的拜登成為就任美國總統(tǒng)時年齡最長者。他隨后還說道，如果確實開啟競選，他還希望現(xiàn)任副總統(tǒng)卡馬拉•哈里斯繼續(xù)成為他的搭檔。
"My plan is to run for reelection, that's my expectation," said Biden, who at age 78 is the oldest U.S. president when assuming office. Biden also said if he does run again, he expects Vice President Kamala Harris to be his running mate.

據(jù)CNN報道，美國前總統(tǒng)特朗普也是在第一任期剛開始時就宣布，將進(jìn)行連任競選。

拜登：不尋求與中國對抗，但中國“不會超過美國”
拜登在回答有關(guān)美中關(guān)系的提問時表示，盡管兩國會有激烈競爭（steep competition），但美國不尋求與中國對抗（not looking for confrontation）。

拜登稱，中國有總體目標(biāo)，他不會批評這一目標(biāo)，但是這一目標(biāo)使中國“成為領(lǐng)導(dǎo)世界的國家，最富有的國家，最強大的國家。”拜登表示，“這些都不會在我的任期內(nèi)發(fā)生，因為美國將持續(xù)發(fā)展增長。”
“China has an overall goal, and I don’t criticize them for the goal, but they have an overall goal to become the leading country in the world, the wealthiest country in the world, and the most powerful country in the world. That’s not going to happen on my watch because the United States are going to continue to grow and expand.”
當(dāng)天，崔天凱大使在華盛頓接受美國有線電視新聞網(wǎng)（CNN）主持人阿曼普（Christiane Amanpour）連線采訪。崔天凱指出：中國的發(fā)展目標(biāo)很明確，就是滿足中國人民日益增長的對美好生活的向往。中國的發(fā)展目標(biāo)不是同任何其他國家競爭或者取代任何國家，這從來不是我們的國家戰(zhàn)略。

3月26日，外交部發(fā)言人華春瑩在例行記者會上回答記者相關(guān)問題時表示：“你還問到美國不會讓中國超越美國，中國的目標(biāo)從來不是超越美國，而是不斷超越自我成為更好的中國”。
