美國部分政客長期抹黑中國疫情，試圖將本國抗疫不力的原因“甩鍋”他人。最近幾天，這樣的陰謀論又來了。
據(jù)美國新聞網(wǎng)站《The Hill》報道，美國議員蘭德•保羅在疫情源頭問題上與福奇有“沖突”。
據(jù)報道，在11日的一場聽證會上，共和黨議員蘭德•保羅聲稱，美國國立衛(wèi)生研究院（NIH）一直以來資助武漢病毒研究所，導(dǎo)致讓原本蝙蝠身上的病毒“活躍”，產(chǎn)生了可以感染人類細(xì)胞的超級病毒。福奇正是該研究所的負(fù)責(zé)人。
During a Senate hearing on the pandemic response, Sen. Rand Paul alleged that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) had been sending funding to the Wuhan lab, which then "juiced up" a virus that was originally found in bats to create a supervirus that can infect human cells.
此外，保羅還重復(fù)著那些“人造病毒”的抹黑言論：新冠病毒是武漢實驗室制造的，不知如何就泄露了。
Paul pressed Anthony Fauci on the theory that the novel coronavirus was created in the Wuhan lab, and then somehow escaped.
保羅的言論既污蔑了中國，又栽贓了福奇及其研究機(jī)構(gòu)。福奇當(dāng)場反駁：完全錯誤。
“保羅議員，恕我直言，你完全、完全、完完全全的錯了，”福奇說，“NIH從未進(jìn)行過、也沒有在武漢實驗室進(jìn)行‘功能獲得’類的研究。”
"Sen. Paul, with all due respect, you are entirely, entirely and completely incorrect," Fauci, who leads the NIH's National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), told Paul. "The NIH has not ever, and does not now, fund 'gain of function research' in the Wuhan Institute."
據(jù)中新網(wǎng)援引美媒介紹，所謂“功能獲得”，是一種“存在爭議的研究形式”，涉及提高病原體的傳染性和致命性。福奇過去曾倡導(dǎo)這項研究?；蛟S也正因如此，保羅等政客自以為抓住了福奇的“把柄”，才會借題發(fā)揮。
福奇說，NIH確實資助了武漢實驗室的項目，但并非是 “功能獲得” 研究下的人造超級病毒。
Fauci noted that the NIH had funded a project that took place in the Wuhan lab, but it was not meant for gain of function research into human-made superviruses.

據(jù)《The Hill》報道，疫情期間，保羅與福奇發(fā)生過很多次沖突。
The pair have clashed repeatedly during the coronavirus pandemic.
此外，保羅還聲稱主流媒體沒有向福奇提問有關(guān)中國實驗室和病毒研究的“正確問題”。
而對于這次的“沖突”，《赫芬頓郵報》寫道：“保羅嚷嚷更多，傾聽更少”……
所謂“武漢實驗室制造病毒”的陰謀論調(diào)早就被證明是站不住腳的，只不過有些外國政客并不愿意接受專家們的科學(xué)調(diào)查結(jié)果。2021年1月14日至2月10日，17名中方專家和17名外方專家組成聯(lián)合專家組，在武漢開展了為期28天的全球溯源研究中國部分工作。3月30日，世衛(wèi)正式發(fā)布中國-世衛(wèi)組織新冠病毒溯源聯(lián)合研究報告。報告認(rèn)為，新冠病毒“極不可能”通過實驗室傳人。
而至于美國傳染病專家福奇，也不是第一次成為政客們攻擊的目標(biāo)。事后，他在回應(yīng)這一次沖突時說：
“我就是不知道，他（保羅）有什么毛病。”
“I just don't understand what the problem is with him," Fauci said.
