還記得那群一路北上的亞洲象群嗎？最近一直關(guān)注奧運(yùn)會的你，知道大象到哪兒了嗎？

據(jù)國家林草局北移大象工作指導(dǎo)組介紹，8月8日20時許，14頭北移亞洲象經(jīng)人工引導(dǎo)，通過云南元江縣的元江橋安全渡過元江干流，從元江北岸返回到南岸。北移亞洲象群助遷工作取得決定性進(jìn)展。目前總體情況平穩(wěn)，人象平安。

The herd of 14 wild Asian elephants roaming around in southwest China's Yunnan Province is approaching their traditional habitat. At about 8 p.m. Sunday, the herd crossed the Yuanjiang River with artificial guidance, according to the headquarters in charge of monitoring their migration. The elephants are in good conditions and pose no threats to humans.

大象距離自己的棲息地越來越近。后續(xù)，現(xiàn)場指揮部將繼續(xù)科學(xué)引導(dǎo)，全力保障象群安全，幫助其盡快回歸原棲息地。
 


相關(guān)部門介紹，由于雨季河流漲水，象群無法自行跨越元江天險，因此采取人工引導(dǎo)幫助其跨越元江。

The herd could have not crossed the Yuanjiang River without help as the water level rises in the rainy season. More efforts will be made to ensure the security of the herd on their way back, according to the headquarters.

據(jù)人民網(wǎng)報道，相關(guān)專家表示，跨越元江對這群象來說意義重大：一是隨著秋冬來臨，元江以北氣溫逐漸降低，食物逐漸減少，不再適合象群生活；二是回到元江以南，這群象才有機(jī)會跟其他象群進(jìn)行基因交流，從而提高象群的安全性和穩(wěn)定性。

過去幾天，象群一直都在玉溪附近。8月2日至8月4日，象群持續(xù)在玉溪市元江縣龍廠社區(qū)革波沖村民小組東南方向的林地內(nèi)迂回活動。因象群持續(xù)在密林中活動，監(jiān)測隊(duì)員使用兩架無人機(jī)交替飛行來確保監(jiān)測。截至8月6日19時，象群持續(xù)在云南省玉溪市元江縣小干壩村正北方向670米處的林地內(nèi)活動。

The elephants have spent days wandering and foraging in Yuanjiang County of Yuxi City in Yunnan. Local authorities have been using drones to track the herd's movements in the region.

預(yù)計(jì)秋日的涼爽，最終會讓象群加速奔往家園。

The herd's return journey is expected to be hastened by lower temperatures in autumn.

此時，距離大象們離開自己在西雙版納的家鄉(xiāng)，已經(jīng)過去17個月了。

It has been around 17 months since the herd bid farewell to their original habitat in a nature reserve in Yunnan's Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture.

它們一路向北跋涉大約500公里，并于6月2日到達(dá)昆明郊區(qū)。

The elephants have traveled northward about 500 kilometers and arrived at the suburbs of the provincial capital Kunming on June 2.

一路北上逛吃的大象讓人類傷透了腦筋 。不過，經(jīng)過各級部門的不懈努力，通過適量投食引導(dǎo)、疏堵結(jié)合的方法開展助遷工作，北移象群逐漸南返。

有媒體梳理了2020年3月以來，亞洲象的活動軌跡：

2020年3月，16頭野生亞洲象從西雙版納州進(jìn)入普洱市，并一直北上。
2020年12月，象群在普洱市生下一頭象寶寶，數(shù)量變成17頭。
2021年4月16日，17頭亞洲象從普洱市墨江縣遷徙至玉溪市元江縣。
4月24日，其中2頭亞洲象返回普洱市墨江縣內(nèi)。
5月16日，15頭亞洲象進(jìn)入紅河州石屏縣寶秀鎮(zhèn)。
5月24日，一頭亞洲象落單，另14頭進(jìn)入玉溪市峨山縣。25日，落單象跟上隊(duì)伍。
5月29日，15頭亞洲象進(jìn)入玉溪市紅塔區(qū)境內(nèi)。
6月2日，象群進(jìn)入昆明市晉寧區(qū)雙河鄉(xiāng)。5日，進(jìn)入晉寧區(qū)夕陽鄉(xiāng)。
6月6日凌晨，1頭公象離群，移動至象群東北方向1.5公里。
6月8日，象群進(jìn)入玉溪市易門縣十街鄉(xiāng)。
6月17日，象群離開玉溪市易門縣，進(jìn)入峨山縣。
7月5日，象群進(jìn)入玉溪市新平縣。
7月7日，離群31天的公象，抵達(dá)西雙版納國家級自然保護(hù)區(qū)管護(hù)局勐養(yǎng)子保護(hù)區(qū)。
7月9日，象群南返進(jìn)入紅河州石屏縣龍武鎮(zhèn)。
7月27日，象群經(jīng)玉溪市新平縣揚(yáng)武鎮(zhèn)進(jìn)入元江縣境內(nèi)。

在大象轉(zhuǎn)移的過程中，當(dāng)?shù)卣扇∫幌盗写胧┐_保人象安全，有關(guān)部門部署專業(yè)應(yīng)急隊(duì)伍以及警力。動用無人機(jī)等科技手段掌握象群動態(tài)。

To guarantee the safety of elephants and humans, local governments took a series of measures to help guide elephants in their migration. Authorities dispatched emergency responders and police personnel to ensure the safety of local residents and the animals. Drones were also used to monitor the movements of the animals.

國家林草局有關(guān)負(fù)責(zé)人表示，近30年來，在全球亞洲象總量不斷減少的形勢下，我國野生亞洲象種群數(shù)量由150頭左右增長到目前的300頭左右，呈現(xiàn)逐漸增加的趨勢，這是我國生態(tài)文明建設(shè)取得顯著成效的有力證明，也是我國生態(tài)保護(hù)持續(xù)向好的直接體現(xiàn)。

Wild Asian elephants, a flagship species in the rainforest, are under A-level state protection in China. Thanks to stronger environmental and wildlife protection efforts, its population in the country has grown to about 300, mostly scattered in the province of Yunnan.
