U.S. President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday discussed the dangers of climate change and bantered about the joys of rail travel during an Oval Office meeting aimed at underscoring the U.S.-British alliance.
Johnson called on two reporters from the British press corps while Biden did not call on any from the U.S. side. The press was ushered out afterwards amid loud yelling from White House press aides.

"Would it be okay if we have just a couple of questions, just a couple?" Johnson asked, looking over to Biden, who replied, "Good luck."
After Johnson had taken several questions from British reporters, the press pool was then corraled out of the Oval Office while Johnson was mid-sentence, prompting a flurry of shouted questions from reporters.
His aides cleared out journalists as they tried to query the president. Biden did attempt to answer one shouted question from a CBS reporter. White House aides yelled 'thank you' and 'let's go' to the press in the room, herding them out as Biden appeared to try and address the issue.
White House reporters made a formal complaint with the White House about not getting any formal questions while the British press asked away. Psaki was unaware that the incident has occurred and suggested that she was not in a position to offer an immediate solution.
Psaki: He (Boris Johnson) called on individuals from his press corps without alerting us to that intention in advance.
Biden occasionally takes questions from reporters at the end of speeches or other public engagements, but he has not held a press conference in several weeks.
