11月12日，安徽亳州蒙城縣，消防員陳建軍為救輕生者不幸墜樓身亡，年僅24歲。

Chen Jianjun, a 24-year-old firefighter from Anhui province, died while trying to rescue a woman who was threatening to jump off a building last Friday. 
 


當(dāng)天上午，安徽亳州市蒙城縣公安局接群眾報(bào)警稱，商貿(mào)城附近有一女子意欲跳樓。接警后，公安、消防等第一時(shí)間前往現(xiàn)場(chǎng)。

On Friday morning, the public security bureau in Mengcheng county, Bozhou, received a call about a woman who was attempting to commit suicide.

根據(jù)警方通告顯示，該女子在救援現(xiàn)場(chǎng)情緒較為激動(dòng)，對(duì)消防隊(duì)員、民警的勸說不予回應(yīng)，隨后該女子突然跳樓。消防員施救過程中與其一同墜樓。兩人經(jīng)急救后身亡。

"The woman was emotional and ignored the persuasion of police and firefighters. She suddenly jumped off the building, and a firefighter moved forward to rescue her. They both fell in the process," a statement released by Mengcheng police said. Both of them died after emergency treatment failed.

網(wǎng)絡(luò)上的視頻顯示，身穿橙色制服的陳建軍試圖從后面接近屋頂上的黑衣女子，但是后者卻突然向前走去。陳建軍沖上前抓住女子卻一同跌下屋頂。然而，即使在墜落時(shí)，他也未曾松手。

A video clip circulated online showed a woman in black walking on the roof while Chen, clad in an orange uniform, was trying to approach her from behind. As the woman suddenly stepped forward, he rushed to grab her, but they plunged off the roof together. Chen held on to the woman as they fell.

People hailed the young firefighter as a hero and expressed their respect on social media platforms.
  



周六晚，當(dāng)?shù)孛癖娮园l(fā)來到陳建軍犧牲的地方，點(diǎn)起蠟燭為其送別。

On Saturday night, dozens of Mengcheng residents gathered at the site of the tragedy to pay tribute to Chen, lighting candles to honor his sacrifice.
 


陳建軍1997年7月出生，中共預(yù)備黨員，2014年9月入伍，犧牲時(shí)年僅24歲。他生前系亳州市消防救援支隊(duì)、蒙城縣大隊(duì)齊山路消防救援站戰(zhàn)斗員，參加各類滅火救援戰(zhàn)斗1300余次，疏散營(yíng)救群眾百余人。

Chen was from Huainan, Anhui. A firefighter since 2014, he helped fight more than 1,300 fires and saved about 100 people, China Fire and Rescue said on its WeChat social media account.

13日下午，團(tuán)安徽省委、安徽省青聯(lián)決定追授陳建軍“安徽青年五四獎(jiǎng)?wù)?rdquo;。14日，安徽省淮南市文明委決定，追授陳建軍同志“淮南好人”榮譽(yù)稱號(hào)。

Chen was posthumously granted the Anhui May 4th medal－the highest honor for outstanding young people in the province－on Saturday. A day after the province honored him, the Huainan government gave Chen its Huainan Good Samaritan award.

15日，應(yīng)急管理部批準(zhǔn)陳建軍同志為烈士。
