北京時間11月16日下午，阿爾法羅密歐車隊官方宣布，中國車手周冠宇正式加盟，將作為正賽車手征戰(zhàn)下賽季一級方程式(F1)錦標賽。22歲的周冠宇成為首位征戰(zhàn)F1正賽的中國車手，創(chuàng)下新的歷史。他將在下賽季的F1揭幕戰(zhàn)——3月20日的巴林站完成他的首秀。
Racing young gun Zhou Guanyu has made motor racing history after being named China's first Formula One driver. Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN announced on Tuesday the 22-year-old will join their team for the 2022 season, with the opening race scheduled for the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain on March 20.
周冠宇將與瓦爾特里•博塔斯并肩作戰(zhàn)。博塔斯之前效力于奔馳車隊，取得過多次分站冠軍。
Zhou will race alongside teammate Valtteri Bottas, the former Mercedes racer who have clinched multiple podium prizes.
在接受采訪時，周冠宇表示參加F1一直是他的夢想，如今夢想終于實現(xiàn)了。他感謝了一路關(guān)注他的比賽給他支持的粉絲。
"Becoming an F1 driver has always been my dream, and I'm really excited to finally fulfill my dream. I want to thank all my fans who have been following my races and supporting me," Zhou said.
“我很期待新賽季F1的揭幕戰(zhàn)。比賽前我都會繼續(xù)全方位的提升自己。我也會從經(jīng)驗豐富的隊友博塔斯身上學(xué)習(xí)。”

阿爾法羅密歐方面也對新賽季充滿信心。在周二的官方聲明中，該車隊表示在新賽季F1迎來新規(guī)則、所有車隊從零開始展開榮耀追逐之際，新老結(jié)合將進一步推動車隊前進。2022年完備的車手陣容露面，車隊信心十足的迎來新階段。
Alfa Romeo said they are confident about their team for next season. "This combination of youth and experience will be ready to push Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN forward at a time in which the sport embraces a completely new set of regulations and all teams start their quest for glory from scratch," the team's announcement on Tuesday said. "With a complete race driver lineup for 2022, the team is now ready to embark on this new era with confidence."
阿爾法羅密歐車隊主席弗雷德里克•瓦瑟同樣對周冠宇的F1生涯充滿信心，也希望后者的加盟可以可以幫助車隊吸引更多中國粉絲。
Frederic Vasseur, Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN's team principal, is also confident Zhou has a promising future in F1, and he hopes Zhou's inclusion will help attract more Chinese fans to follow the team.

據(jù)新華社報道，1999年出生在上海的周冠宇，從小就對賽車產(chǎn)生了濃厚的興趣，而且天賦滿滿。練習(xí)卡丁車不過兩年多的時間，周冠宇就在10歲時包攬了全國卡丁車錦標賽八個分站賽的全部冠軍。在父母的支持下，11歲的周冠宇前往英國，一邊上學(xué)一邊訓(xùn)練，并開始了在歐洲的卡丁車比賽生涯。在相繼斬獲全美錦標賽、全英錦標賽以及歐洲錦標賽14至17歲組別年度總冠軍的同時，法拉利車手學(xué)院向他拋來了橄欖枝。2019年，周冠宇加入雷諾運動員學(xué)院并成為雷諾F1車隊的發(fā)展車手。過去3個賽季，周冠宇在F2中有著穩(wěn)定的發(fā)揮。今年3月，周冠宇在巴林站摘得個人首個F2正賽冠軍，創(chuàng)造了中國賽車歷史，目前暫列車手積分榜第2位。
Born in 1999, Zhou first hit the track in go-karts at the age of seven. In order to pursue a better development in motorsport, Zhou left his hometown of Shanghai at age 11 to study and train in the U.K..Zhou initially joined the Ferrari Driver Academy before switching to the Alpine Academy (formerly the Renault Sport Academy) in 2019, when he debuted in Formula 2. The 22-year-old currently sits second in the 2021 Formula 2 championship.

對于一名中國車手而言，進階之路更為不易，從程叢夫到馬青驊，曾經(jīng)也有中國車手與F1無限接近，但終因種種原因又擦肩而過。“前輩們的努力給了我很多激勵和鼓舞，但在成為F1車手的這條道路上，并沒有引路人告訴我怎么選擇才是最好的，所以我和我的團隊要自己一路摸索，”周冠宇說。
