The United Nations General Assembly on Thursday adopted the Beijing Winter Olympic Truce Resolution drafted by China and co-sponsored by 173 member states.
中國常駐聯(lián)合國代表張軍2日表示，第76屆聯(lián)合國大會協(xié)商一致通過北京冬奧會奧林匹克休戰(zhàn)決議并獲得廣泛支持，體現(xiàn)了國際社會對北京冬奧會成功舉辦的熱情和信心。他呼吁各國堅持奧林匹克精神，維護(hù)世界團(tuán)結(jié)。
Zhang Jun, China's permanent representative to the UN, told media after the adoption that the strong support for the resolution reflects the international community's enthusiasm and confidence in the success of the Beijing Winter Olympics.

張軍說，這是中國繼2008年北京奧運(yùn)會休戰(zhàn)決議后，第二次向聯(lián)大提交休戰(zhàn)決議。
It was the second time that a Chinese representative has introduced the Olympic Truce at the General Assembly, the envoy said.
決議呼吁各方通過和平和外交手段解決國際沖突，敦促各國在北京2022年冬奧會開幕前7日至北京冬殘奧會閉幕后7日遵守奧林匹克休戰(zhàn)決議。
The resolution "Building a peaceful and better world through sport and the Olympic ideal", calls on member states to promote peace, dialogue and reconciliation through sports. It also asks countries to cease hostilities from seven days before until seven days after the Olympic Games.
決議強(qiáng)調(diào)北京冬奧會和冬殘奧會的愿景——“純潔的冰雪，激情的約會”，旨在讓奧林匹克點(diǎn)亮青年夢想，讓冬季運(yùn)動融入億萬民眾，推動社會發(fā)展，創(chuàng)建和諧、和平和更美好世界。
在新冠疫情持續(xù)肆虐，各國經(jīng)濟(jì)社會發(fā)展面臨諸多考驗(yàn)，傳統(tǒng)和非傳統(tǒng)安全挑戰(zhàn)層出不窮的今天，決議特別提出要認(rèn)識到體育在全球應(yīng)對疫情沖擊能力建設(shè)方面的作用，強(qiáng)調(diào)北京冬奧會將是展現(xiàn)人類團(tuán)結(jié)、韌性和國際合作寶貴價值的契機(jī)。
The highlight of China's resolution is that it "adds the Beijing 2022 visions and ideals for the Games and sends a powerful message of unity and cooperation in overcoming the pandemic", Zhang said.
“奧林匹克休戰(zhàn)”是國際奧委會根據(jù)古希臘奧林匹克神圣休戰(zhàn)傳統(tǒng)而設(shè)計的一項和平運(yùn)動。1993年，第48屆聯(lián)大首次審議并通過奧林匹克休戰(zhàn)決議。此后歷屆奧運(yùn)會、冬奧會主辦國都向聯(lián)大提交奧林匹克休戰(zhàn)決議。

據(jù)央視新聞報道，12月3日上午，國務(wù)院新聞辦公室召開發(fā)布會，介紹北京冬奧會和冬殘奧會最新籌辦進(jìn)展。北京冬奧會和冬殘奧會運(yùn)行指揮部調(diào)度中心執(zhí)行主任閆成介紹，北京2022年冬奧會計劃于2月4日開幕，2月20日閉幕；冬殘奧會計劃于3月4日開幕，3月13日閉幕。目前各項準(zhǔn)備工作已經(jīng)就緒。
The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics will start on Feb 4, while the Paralympics will kick off on March 4 in three competition zones－downtown Beijing, its northwest Yanqing district and co-host city Zhangjiakou in Hebei province.
據(jù)介紹，在場館和基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施方面，12個競賽場館全部完工，通過國際冬季單項體育組織認(rèn)證，全面具備辦賽條件。在賽會服務(wù)保障方面，餐飲、住宿、醫(yī)療、交通等賽會服務(wù)，堅持“三個賽區(qū)，一個標(biāo)準(zhǔn)”。

"We have been paying close attention to the development of the Omicron coronavirus variant and evaluating its possible influence on the Beijing Winter Olympics," said Zhao Weidong, director of the Media and Communications Department of the Beijing Organizing Committee.
