We are seeing more and more governments and national Olympic committees expressing in public their support for the 2022 Beijing Games. IOC President Thomas Bach underlined the mission of the Games to unite the world. It could be the end of the Olympic Movement if politics got involved. It is against the mission of the IOC if Olympics is used to intensify conflicts and differences.
