A magnitude-7.4 earthquake struck off Japan's northeast coast late Wednesday night. Strong shaking was felt in the country's northeastern and eastern areas.

共同社：強震引發(fā)民眾不安
據(jù)日本氣象廳消息，此次地震震中位于北緯37.7度、東經(jīng)141.7度，震源深度60公里，震級為7.3級。福島縣和宮城縣最大震度達到6強，遠離震源地的東京地區(qū)震感強烈。
Strong shaking was felt in the country's northeastern and eastern areas, especially in Miyagi and Fukushima Prefectures where the quake was logged six upper on the Japanese seismic intensity scale which peaks at seven. The temblor occurred at around 11:36 p.m. local time Wednesday with a north latitude of 37.7 and an east longitude of 141.7 and at a depth of 60 km.
受地震影響，東京電力公司稱，地震發(fā)生后，其管轄內的一都八縣發(fā)生大規(guī)模停電，當?shù)貢r間17日凌晨2點50分左右恢復供電。東北電力公司稱，截至17日凌晨5點，以宮城縣和福島縣為中心，仍有47800戶斷電，正在搶修。

據(jù)日本共同社報道稱，地震引發(fā)東北地區(qū)居民恐慌焦慮，不免想起2011年發(fā)生的地震海嘯災害。
地震發(fā)生后，日本氣象廳一度向福島縣、宮城縣發(fā)出海嘯警報，稱預計海嘯高度1米左右。目前，警報已經(jīng)解除。地震發(fā)生后，多地交通受到影響，多條新干線停運，但目前也已陸續(xù)恢復。
The quake also prompted the Japan Meteorological Agency to issue a 1-meter tsunami warning to the Pacific coast of Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures, but the warning was lifted Thursday morning after only relatively small tsunami waves were observed. The quake disrupted train services.

福島核電站受關注
3月17日凌晨，日本首相岸田文雄在記者會上表示，日本各地核電站在地震后并未發(fā)現(xiàn)異常。
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida told reporters early Thursday that there have so far been no abnormalities found at nuclear plants in affected areas.
據(jù)日本共同社報道，地震發(fā)生后，福島第一核電站的5號渦輪機房出現(xiàn)火災警報，但消防部門前往現(xiàn)場后沒有發(fā)現(xiàn)火情。據(jù)稱福島第一核電站的放射性物質監(jiān)測值沒有變化。
The country's nuclear regulator said data shows no abnormalities with reactors and facilities at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in Fukushima, though a fire alarm went off in the turbine building of the No. 5 reactor.
福島第二核電站的1號和3號機組乏燃料池冷卻泵一度停止工作，但據(jù)稱目前均已恢復正常。

另據(jù)共同社援引東京電力公司的消息報道，截至17日4時，福島第一核電站2號機組乏燃料池冷卻系統(tǒng)仍未恢復工作。東電表示，雖然2號機組乏燃料池冷卻系統(tǒng)沒有恢復工作，但是水溫目前沒有超過上限。另外，受地震影響，福島第一核電站內一座儲存核污染水的水罐位置移動。
中國駐日本使館提醒在日同胞高度警惕余震
3月17日早間，中國駐日本大使館發(fā)布通知，提醒在日同胞高度警惕余震。通知中寫道：地震發(fā)生后，駐日本使館立即啟動應急機制，楊宇代辦指示迅速了解在日僑胞受災情況，盡全力保護同胞生命財產(chǎn)安全。經(jīng)昨夜至今晨多方面了解，截至17日早9時，暫未收到我在日僑胞在地震中出現(xiàn)傷亡情況報告。目前，駐日使館館舍人員安全，各部門正密切關注地震影響及我同胞受災情況，全力做好地震相關應對工作。
No casualties of Chinese nationals have been reported so far after a 7.3 magnitude earthquake hit Japan on Wednesday, Chinese Embassy in Japan said on Thursday, noting that the embassy is still working on getting more information about the current situation.
