近來美國槍擊事件頻發(fā)，全美控槍呼聲不絕（戳這里回顧）。當(dāng)?shù)貢r間周二，美國演員馬修·麥康納就在白宮發(fā)表了一番“情緒激動”的演講，呼吁美國的槍支問題發(fā)生“真正改變”。

Nineteen children and two teachers were killed by a gunman last month at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde. McConaughey, a Uvalde native, said he and his wife, Camila Alves, spent most of the past week with the families of those who were killed in his hometown. McConaughey highlighted the lives of several children who were killed in the shooting.

“These are the same green Converse on her feet that turned out to be the only clear evidence that could identify her after the shooting.”

In a 22-minute speech , McConaughey appeared to choke up and hold back tear.

He said there was now a "window of opportunity" to enact meaningful gun legislation reform and called for universal background checks, raising the minimum age for purchasing an AR-15 to 21.

麥康納對此解釋，AR-15會給中槍者身體留下較大傷口，使得遺體難以辨認(rèn)，必須依靠DNA測試或類似匡威鞋那樣的遺物才能辨認(rèn)。

“As divided as our country is, this gun responsibility issue is one we agree on more than we don’t. It really is. But this should be a nonpartisan issue”, Republicans and Democrats, McConaughey said, need to see “beyond the political problem at hand and admit that we have a life preservation problem on our hands.”

While many praised the actor for using his visibility to take a stand on gun violence and gun control, some critics bashed him for glorifying the use of firearms in his films. An unidentified reporter at the White House asked McConaughey after his speech if he was "grandstanding" - trying to attract attention to himself instead of the issue at hand.



據(jù)介紹，2014年，麥康納憑借劇情片《達(dá)拉斯買家俱樂部》獲得第86屆奧斯卡金像獎最佳男主角、第71屆美國金球獎電影類劇情類最佳男主角。去年，他曾表示要競選得州州長，但最終沒有參加。
