"In a spirit of great friendship, we will say to our American and Norwegian friends: 'You're super, you supply us with energy and gas, but one thing that can't go on for too long is us paying four times more than the price you sell to your industry,'" French President Emmanuel Macron said, "That is not exactly the meaning of friendship."

Russia is ready to start gas supplies to Europe over the single remaining string of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday at the Russian Energy Week forum.
"Its (the surviving string) capacity is 27.5 billion cubic meters per year, about 8% of total gas imports to Europe. Russia is ready for a start of such supplies," the President said.
