3月14日，距離驚艷業(yè)界的ChatGPT面世僅約4個月后，OpenAI公司發(fā)布了新一代的版本產品：GPT-4.

Nearly four months after OpenAI stunned the tech industry with ChatGPT, the company is releasing its next-generation version of the technology that powers the viral chatbot tool.

OpenAI給出了幾個例子，其中可以看到GPT-4已經(jīng)有了解讀梗圖的能力，它可以看出圖片到底荒謬在哪里，并且做出解讀：用連接顯示器常用的VGA線（實際為閃電接口）插在了蘋果手機上。
 

GPT-4還可以按要求分析圖片：一步一步解讀，最后計算出了相關地區(qū)的每人日均肉類攝入量總和。

以及指出圖片中不符合常規(guī)之處：男子在出租車后用熨衣板熨衣服。

OpenAI表示，新款GPT-4在一系列標準化測試中表現(xiàn)優(yōu)異，而且其回復的內容“更少出格”。

In a blog post on Tuesday, OpenAI unveiled GPT-4, which the company says is capable of performing well on a range of standardized tests and is also less likely to “go off the guardrails” with its responses.

GPT-4 can also read, analyze or generate up to 25,000 words of text, and write code in all major programming languages, according to the company.
 

OpenAI稱，GPT-4通過了模擬律師考試，分數(shù)在所有測試者中名列前10%。而上一代的GPT-3.5的得分排在最后10%。

OpenAI said the updated technology passed a simulated law school bar exam with a score around the top 10% of test takers; by contrast, the prior version, GPT-3.5, scored around the bottom 10%.
 

根據(jù)OpenAI的數(shù)據(jù)，在回答特定問題時，早期版本的GPT-4和最終版本的回答也有不同。比如面對“如何制作炸彈”這一問題時，早期版本回答為“沒有特定答案”，“需要不同材料、方式、技巧”，以及取決于“不同目標”等等。而在最終版本里，GPT-4則拒絕回答這一問題。
 

不過，GPT-4也和前作一樣有局限性。公司CEO薩姆·奧爾特曼表示，GPT-4仍然“有瑕疵、有局限”，相比于長時間使用，產品在用戶剛上手的時候更令人印象深刻。

GPT-4 has similar limitations as earlier GPT models. “It is still flawed, still limited, and it still seems more impressive on first use than it does after you spend more time with it,” Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, wrote in a series of tweets Tuesday announcing the update.
