這兩天，一封世衛(wèi)官員給武漢中學(xué)生的回信刷屏了。
據(jù)央視新聞報道，5月11日，世界衛(wèi)生組織通過官方微博發(fā)布了一封給武漢中學(xué)生的回信。這封四頁紙的信用中文手寫，字跡工工整整。而寫下這封信的人，是世界衛(wèi)生組織駐華代表高力（Gauden Galea）。

On May 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) released a handwritten letter to middle school students in Wuhan City via its official Weibo account. The four-page, Chinese-language letter was written by Dr. Gauden Galea, the WHO representative in China.
The story begins with a letter from students at Xuguang Middle School in Wuhan, the epicenter of the COVID-19 epidemic in China.
在這封武漢市旭光學(xué)校學(xué)生寄給高力的信中，學(xué)生們提及希望通過世衛(wèi)組織呼吁全世界的青少年攜起手來，盡己所能，努力幫助需要幫助的人們，并在信中親切地稱呼高力為“高力伯伯”。

世界衛(wèi)生組織表示，這是高力醫(yī)生第一次被人稱為高力伯伯，但他很喜歡這樣親切的稱呼。了解到信的內(nèi)容后，他表示一定要用中文親筆回信。

據(jù)CGTN報道，高力來到中國兩年了，盡管他在業(yè)余時間會學(xué)習(xí)中文，但在他的同事們看來，用中文回信是個不可能完成的任務(wù)，但高力還是認真做到了。
在世衛(wèi)組織發(fā)布的視頻中，他像練習(xí)書法的小朋友一樣，將信件打印出來，墊在信紙下面描紅，一筆一畫地寫完了這封回信。

Galea has been in China for two years. Although he has been learning Chinese in his spare time, writing an entire letter in Chinese seemed to be an impossible task to his colleagues.
However, he finished the four-page letter in earnest. A video posted on the WHO's Weibo account shows Galea, though not fully proficient in Chinese, writing down each Chinese character and signing his English name.
他在信中寫道：“你們的來信是希望與團結(jié)的象征，這封信讓我想起過去兩年中，我在中國遇見并與之共事的許多人，能與他們并肩作戰(zhàn)我倍感榮幸，他們總是讓我感受到友善和情誼。”

據(jù)央視新聞報道，高力博士于2018年5月任世界衛(wèi)生組織駐華代表。抗擊疫情期間，高力博士受中國政府邀請視察了武漢，并且實地了解了武漢的真實情況。

Galea became the WHO's representative in China in May 2018, according to the WHO's website. He is a public health physician and has worked for the WHO since 1998.
During the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic, Galea visited Wuhan at the invitation of the Chinese government and learned about the real situation there.
