據(jù)央視新聞報(bào)道，23日，印度累計(jì)新冠肺炎確診病例突破3000萬(wàn)例，成為繼美國(guó)之后又一個(gè)超過(guò)這一數(shù)字的國(guó)家。

根據(jù)印度衛(wèi)生部23日公布的數(shù)據(jù)，該國(guó)新增新冠肺炎確診病例5萬(wàn)余例，累計(jì)確診病例超過(guò)3002萬(wàn)例；新增死亡1358例。

India has reported more than 30 million Covid-19 cases since the pandemic started last year.

Government data showed there were 50,848 infections recorded over a 24-hour period on Wednesday, bringing the total reported cases to 30.02 million. The reported daily death toll was 1,358.

The United States is the only country in the world that has reported more cases than India.

A highly contagious variant of the coronavirus — known as the delta variant — was first reported in India and is reportedly partially responsible for the rapid rise in cases there.

It has since spread rapidly around the world and is found in more than 80 countries and regions. The World Health Organization said delta is becoming the dominant variant of the disease worldwide.

而近日隨著單日新增確診病例數(shù)下降，印度許多邦和地區(qū)都開(kāi)始逐漸放寬防疫限制措施。據(jù)《今日印度》網(wǎng)站 (India Today)報(bào)道，印度的一些邦計(jì)劃重新開(kāi)放學(xué)校，讓學(xué)生到校上課。

The decline in Covid-19 cases in recent weeks has prompted states to begin loosening restrictions, including the planned resumption of in-classroom teaching for schools and colleges.
