As Italy remains on lockdown amid COVID-19, people have been ordered to stay home unless they’re buying necessities. A new form of social interaction has emerged. Italians have adopted balcony performances, which involves livestreaming one’s singing or music playing online in order to socialize, fight boredom and boost morale.
