Embarrassment is familiar to most of us. The worse side effects are some short-term negative feelings and blushed cheeks. But what if it was worse? How about, rather than embarrassment just turning your face red, you instead turning into a giant red panda!
我們大多數人對于尷尬情緒并不陌生，尷尬有一些糟糕的副作用，會讓人產生短期的負面情緒、臉紅。但如果尷尬產生了更嚴重的副作用呢？比如，你尷尬時沒有漲紅臉，而是變成了一只巨大的紅色小熊貓!

Turning Red, which was released on Disney Plus on March 11, is a story based on a girl Mei Lee’s changing emotions. Mei is a Chinese-Canadian teenager. As she starts puberty, an ancient curse put on her family means that every time she has a sudden outburst of feelings, something strange happens – she turns into a giant fluffy red panda.
《青春變形記》于3月11日在迪士尼+上線，講述了一個名叫李美琳的女孩在情緒激動時會變身的故事。小美是一個加拿大華裔少女。隨著她步入青春期，一個加諸于她家族的古老詛咒顯露，這意味著每當小美情緒爆發(fā)，奇怪的事情就會發(fā)生——她會變成一只毛茸茸的巨大小熊貓。

Her family tries to give her support, with her mother previously experiencing the same problem. However, sometimes her mother’s influence can be overbearing, adding to her embarrassment.
小美的家人試圖給予她支持，因為小美的母親之前也經歷過同樣的問題。然而，小美母親的做法有時可能很專橫，反而增加了她的尷尬。

Fortunately, Mei has other people to turn to for help. Her friends. They are also experiencing their own troubles growing up and are with her every step of the way. Amazed by their friend’s new ability, the group works together to keep Mei’s emotions in check.

Such overall uniqueness is the design of the director, Chinese-Canadian Domee Shi. She has used some of her own experiences growing up to shape the direction of the story.

The message of the movie is that you don’t “have to push emotions away or get rid of them to be considered a good girl or a good woman. The movie is ultimately about being able to own your emotions,” Lindsey Collins, the producer, told The New York Times.
